On March 23rd, we invite you to join the EWB-DC Chapter for our 4th Annual Gala as we celebrate our accomplishments over the past year.
Four years ago, we set out to try something new: we decided to throw a Gala to raise funds to support our sustainable development projects around the world and to provide a networking opportunity for our professional volunteers–including engineers, geologists, public health professionals, and project managers. After three successful Galas, we’re looking forward to the next one where our volunteers will have an opportunity to showcase their hard work and engage with the DC community.
The funds raised from the Gala will go to support our active projects in Panama and Cameroon, and will also go towards new projects the Chapter may launch this year. Our focus this year is to help share with you the impact of your dollars: What are our volunteers working on? How have our projects progressed in the last year? What will we accomplish in 2018?
The 2018 Gala will include:
- An open bar along with hor d’oeuvres by Eat & Smile Catering
- DJ and dancing
- Photography by Brian Adrian Photography
- Silent auction featuring items from local DC businesses
- Trivia give-a-way contest
- A pitch competition between our project teams where you will vote live to direct funds to a project of your choice!
